Benevolence

As with all Masons, the members of Harcourt Lodge support and are engaged in a variety of charities and community organizations such as the Masonic Blood Donor program and the District Charity Prostate Hope - funding prostate research in Ontario. In 2016 and 2017 the Toronto Don Valley District is also supporting the Last Post Fund. The Last Post Fund’s mission is to ensure that no Veteran is denied a dignified funeral and burial, as well as a military gravestone, due to insufficient funds at time of death.

Master's Message - January 2018

Frequently Asked Questions

Brethren,

I want to start by thanking you for electing me as Worshipful Master at our meeting in November. I particularly congratulate all those Officers who were invested last month. This honour is not only an acknowledgement of your past services to Harcourt Lodge, but also an earnest recognition of the work you are expected to undertake in the coming years. It is a sign of the trust Harcourt Lodge places in you,
and I know that you will repay this trust through your unwavering and continued commitment to Freemasonry in general and Harcourt Lodge in particular.

It was at an Official Visit ten years ago that I first heard that "a Past Master's most important task is training the next generation." This statement is just as true today as it was in 2008. That said, I wish to
thank all those Past Masters who have started spending more time with less experienced members than was customary in the past. With you and through you we will make a world of difference in their perception of what Freemasonry has to offer them, and ensure that they do not drift away from active involvement in the Lodge. Before closing I would like to thank my Installing Master, W. Bro. George Teed, and the members of the Installing Board for their efficiency in the conduct of last month's Ceremony of Installation. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to Bro. Secretary, W. Bro. Jim Colley, and Bro. Treasurer, W. Bro. Alec Zimmerman, for all the hard work they put in behind the scenes to ensure that the rest of us enjoy our
Freemasonry.

Finally, now that 2018 is underway and with only six weeks to our Official Visit, I take this opportunity to wish you every success this year and, above all, strength and stability in the future.

Sincerely & fraternally,
W. Bro. Aaron Hector Racine

Worshipful Master Harcourt Lodge 581
