I want to start by thanking you for electing me as Worshipful Master at our meeting in November. I particularly congratulate all those Officers who were invested last month. This honour is not only an acknowledgement of your past services to Harcourt Lodge, but also an earnest recognition of the work you are expected to undertake in the coming years. It is a sign of the trust Harcourt Lodge places in you,
and I know that you will repay this trust through your unwavering and continued commitment to Freemasonry in general and Harcourt Lodge in particular.
It was at an Official Visit ten years ago that I first heard that "a Past Master's most important task is training the next generation." This statement is just as true today as it was in 2008. That said, I wish to
thank all those Past Masters who have started spending more time with less experienced members than was customary in the past. With you and through you we will make a world of difference in their perception of what Freemasonry has to offer them, and ensure that they do not drift away from active involvement in the Lodge. Before closing I would like to thank my Installing Master, W. Bro. George Teed, and the members of the Installing Board for their efficiency in the conduct of last month's Ceremony of Installation. I would also like to express my heartfelt thanks to Bro. Secretary, W. Bro. Jim Colley, and Bro. Treasurer, W. Bro.
